I think they were literally dark omens over his world's golden field of wheat. Poor Vincent, so much beauty through so much pain.

Am I being a bummer here?Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12577766593643216036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6831601290924355569.post-48435944954763829552008-12-04T20:52:00.000-06:002008-12-04T20:52:00.000-06:00Oh, I like them, too--the birds and the paintings....Oh, I like them, too--the birds and the paintings. The way they take over a suburban tree, or several trees, quarreling and rearranging themselves endlessly, feels very familiar-- like teenagers at a high-school football game, or preteen girls at the mall.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6831601290924355569.post-80078195073330100152008-12-04T18:52:00.000-06:002008-12-04T18:52:00.000-06:00I never know which Van Gogh is my favorite, though...I never know which Van Gogh is my favorite, though this one grabbed me from the first time I saw it and has stuck with me.
